Awesome scuba diving areas in Mexico that are somewhat close to the US?

I’m motorcycling from Canada to Mexico, and I don’t want to go to the bottom of Mexico because my trip is damn long already. So, are there some awesoem places not too far from the states? Or will I have to tough it out and make my way in the direction of Cuba for?

There are no good scuba diving places in Mexico near the U.S. border. The best diving is in the Caribbean…Cozumel and Cancun. The nearest to the U.S. border would be in La Paz, Baja California. See list below for sites on diving in Baja. See 2nd site for diving along the pacific coast.
