Diving And Ear Problems
Ear hasn’t cleared after diving?
I went scuba diving 5 days ago. On descent I had trouble equalising in my right ear, but in the end it was fine and I carried out the dive as normal. I dived to 60 feet (18 metres). I came up slightly too quickly (didn’t do the recommended 5 minute safety stop at 3 metres) as I was feeling very sick. Since the dive, I have had problems clearing my right ear and it feels like it still needs to “pop”. It is not painful and I can hear relatively well with it, but not as clearly as normal. Is there anything I should do? Or will this be likely to pass with time? Many thanks
how about you march yourself off to medical assistance, you might be experiencing middle ear infection, or swimmers ear. although my dad used to douse our ears out with metholated spirits to dry them out but must be careful
