Mexico's beaches in all shapes and sizes. Two of the most famous areas are Cabo San Lucas and Acapulco.

Acapulco

YouÂ're probably already familiar with Acapulco if you ever saw the wild world of ABC Sports. Acapulco was exhibited frequently as the location of the cliffs incomplete diving competitions. You know, the one where the mad jumped a few hundred meters in a pool of water between the rocks. Fortunately, you have to Dona't cliff diving to enjoy Acapulco.

Acapulco is located below and the mountain that stands in front of a beautiful bay. The place is visually stunning and the beaches are very nice. There are, however, a potential disadvantage of Acapulco. The city is geared to tourists in a big way. You will find ArenÂ't culture authentic Mexican unless you head into the hills. Instead, they will be bombarded by people selling things and generally catering to every tourist dollar the powerful. Some people love Acapulco, but there are better places in Mexico, in my opinion.

Cabo San Lucas

How times change. Cape San Lucas used to be a beach town stayed at the tip of Baja California. The airport used to consists of a single cabin, great. For better or worse, those days are gone.

Cabo San Lucas is quickly becoming the place to be among the beach resorts in Mexico. Rock stars, Sammy Hagar, own bars and sing songs about the place. The marinas have some impressive and expensive boats. Previously barren mountains are now covered by large and impressive homes. Heck, even traffic jams!

However, there is a reason for all this is happening. Cabo San Lucas is simply a first class place to go on vacation. The rays of sun all day and there are activities galore. You can go deep see fishing, kayaking, surfing or just loaf on the beach. Cafes and bars populate beaches, but you feel agitated Dona't in Acapulco. At night, Cabo San Lucas canÂ't be beat with bars and restaurants of legendary quality.

If youÂ're  "forcedos" to go to Mexico on vacation, either Acapulco or Cabo San Lucas is a good place. All and all, I prefer Cabo, but each one's own.
