How on earth do people fall pregnant……?

I watched a program the other day and it was called.. the great sperm race, or something like that.
It basically explained how the sperm made it to the egg in human form, using humans as sperm.
They explained how difficult it was for the sperm to get to the egg, traveling through great terrains(the woman’s uterus etc) and then diving into the paradise fallopian tubes!
How on earth do people fall pregnant through having sex once etc, it looks so difficult for the sperm to get there!
Why couldn’t it be made easier if people are made to reproduce?

They are persistent little guys and that’s their job. The premise is that the strongest, fastest and presumably best will be the one that makes it, making for stronger offspring.

Also, the situation has to be right for pregnancy to occur. The egg needs to be in the right place, the ph of the environment needs to be right etc. It only takes once to get pregnant is all of the factors are right. That’s where birth control comes in…

And as to your question about “Why isn’t easier to reproduce?” Look at the population of the world. Look at the number of people who can’t feed, cloth themselves. Does it really need to be easier? You have to take classes to get a drivers license; you have to pass a credit check to buy a house; you even need a license for marriage but ANYONE can have a child… in my opinion… it’s TOO easy.
