Where should I stay in West Bay, Roatan, Honduras?

My girlfriend and I, both in our early 30s, want to spend a nice relaxing vacation snorkeling (not so much diving) and relaxing in the West Bay part of Roatan the end of March 2009. We would like to stay somewhere that has privacy, character, and costs less than $100 a night. We want to avoid the loud, busy spots that I know parts of it can get, especially when the cruise ships come around. Any suggestions?

There really isn’t much in West Bay that fits your requirements, especially the need for inexpensive, quiet spots devoid of cruise ship people. Many folks stay in West End or Sandy Bay and use the inexpensive water taxis to travel back and forth to snorkel or enjoy the beach at West Bay. Most every hotel/resort in Roatan has a web site.
Look around and pick out the one you like.
