Big Island or OAHU for First time Hawaii Visitor?
Also do you need to know swiming to Snorkling or Scuba Diving?
We’re going later this month and it’s my boyfriend’s first time. We chose Oahu because we’re on a budget and it’s easy to get a cheap room in Waikiki (on the other islands it’s more likely to be luxe resorts). Also there’s a variety of things to do within Honolulu. But if money were no object, I’d probably choose Maui, with a visit to Kauai.
If you just want to see the volcanoes on the Big Island you can take a day trip there from one of the other islands.
I’ve heard you don’t really need to know how to swim to snorkel (not sure if that is reliable), but you definitely need to know for scuba.
