It's always good to know some facts about the place you are planning to visit on holiday or simply to know that the general cultural information. Hawaii facts are very interesting and give some information about this beautiful island.

The Republic of Hawaii was established with Sanford B. Dole served as president and became part of U.S. territory in 1959. The nickname given to this beautiful place is "Aloha State" and the original name was given in honor of Hawaii Loa who discovered the island.

Hawaii is part of the chain of 132 islands and the main islands include Hawaii, Kahoolawe, Maui, Lanai, Molokai, Oahu, Kauai and Niihau and the capital is Honolulu.

Hawaii has a population of 1,211, 537 and larger cities are Honolulu, Hilo, Kailua and Kaneohe. Hawaii has 4028 square kilometers and its highest peak is Mauna Kea, Hawaii and the largest volcanic mountain in the world is Mauna Loa.

Hawaii economy grows thanks to some of the products purchased in popular Hawaiian pineapple, flowers, sugarcane, bananas, nuts, coffee beans and nursery products. The industry is tourism, food processing, clothing, stone, clay, glass products and metal products.

The flag of Hawaii has eight stripes of white, red and blue representing the eight main islands. The flag Britain is emblazoned in the upper left corner to honor Hawaii's friendship with the British. The combination of the stripes on the flag of the United States and the Union Jack of Great Britain is said to maintain good relations with both countries.

Some of the symbols in Hawaii include the fish called "Nene" and the Hawaiian goose. The Hibiscus flower called aloalo also known as Spike. The Kukui tree and the state is the state gem coral is Black and the state is the ground wire.

Hawaii has two official languages, including English, as Hawaii is part of U.S. States and Hawaii, which is spoken throughout Polynesia Hawaiian Islands.
