id appreciate some advise from wise travellers!
thanks in in advance
buy a book and cd and learn some basic spanish
make photocopies of passport and travel documents
get a hidden money belt
send an email to yourself with all document details including bank telephone numbers
google travel scams for the region u are going too
take some travellers chqs, cash, credit card, atm card so u have options to get money if for example the atm machine swallows your card
inform bank where and when u are going so they will authorise your card abroad
only use cash to buy stuff, cards can be cloned
only withdraw cash from an atm attached to or inside a bank and make sure u cover your hand when putting in the pin number
get a nationwide flex account as these are the chepaest atm to use abroad
take an unlocked phone and buy a sim card at your destination
stay in a reputable hotel and put important stuff in the safe but not everything in case the safe gets robbed……i usually carry a card with me
buy one of these
