Best way to get a cheap hotel!?

I am looking for Web sites, coupons, etc … to save on hotels average. I reserve the same day, possibly a 24-hour notice. I'm in Spokane Wa. w / family in the hospital. I am currently using a jump off ital, but I'll be here for a while and would like save more. I do not need 5-star, nor do I want a dive. Thank You!
