nice diving wetsuits?

Hi all,
I want to buy a diving wetsuit for my boyfriend, what are the best brands?? where can I find a good shop (quality price) in London??

I don’t know what’s available in the UK, so I can’t give you name brand recommendations.

But in general, look for a suit that fits well first. Unless the dive shop agrees to let him exchange the suit if it doesn’t fit, it’s better to take him to the store and have him try on wetsuits.

After that, look for a suit that is thick enough to keep him warm where he dives – the thicker, the warmer. In the North Sea or the Atlantic, he’ll want a warm wetsuit.

Then look for:
- a softer material, which is more comfortable;
- durable zippers and seals, which will last longer;
- and good overall construction – seams that are glued and sewn together, and may even have a backing tape on the inside.

Only when you find all of those features, then think of color. Color may catch your eye, but it won’t keep you (or him) any warmer. A bright color may make him easier to see on the surface of the water, of course, but to me, that’s secondary to keeping warm.
